Of Daisies, Daffodils, and Forget-Me-Nots

worldthroughmyeyesx:

Pairing: Rumbelle (Rumplestiltskin/Belle)
Rating: PG
Genre: Romance/Fluff/Angst
Summary: Inspired by the question as to why Maurice French specifically owns a flower shop in Storybrooke. A short, bittersweet tale of Rumpelstiltskin asking Belle about the whereabouts of her mother.

Forget-me-nots had gradually become Belle’s symbol of endearment for Mr. Gold, for her Rumpelstiltskin. The blossoms bore the truth of a love planned long before either of their births, a passion that not even a single red rose exchanged between the couple can contain in the depth of its crimson petals. These forget-me-nots brought to their home in the late afternoon embodied the hope they had lost in a previous world, a love that needed replenished and found once again—they were an insistence that everything needed to be healed. Luckily, patience is a virtue Belle was not lacking, and as she had done while working as his caretaker in their other life together, she waited for him.

imagineagreatadventure asked: Holy crap that last chapter of Hard Day's Night really makes me want to read more of Hard Day's Night. It was super, jaw-dropping good. Much like Mr. Gold's kisses apparently. Also congrats on graduation! :D

THANK YOU!!!! I’m so glad to be graduating and starting on new things post-college. It’s nuts, but Sunday is the actual ceremony and then I’m off.

And also, thank you for the compliment on the fic!! I’m SO glad there is such a positive response, I’m a little overwhelmed, to be honest, so thank you (and everyone else too) so much!!!!

Hard Day’s Night: Part 3

 • Part: Three of ?
 • One Two
 • Rating: PG-13, potential to go up.
 • Summary: The original Playboy Club in Chicago was home to a diverse crowd. Mobsters, politicians, socialites: if you could think of it, they were probably there. The girls who made it possible, like Belle French, all have their reasons for working there. One bunny learns the hard way: one wrong move can mean the difference between ending up on the cover of Playboy, or ending up at the bottom of the river.
 • A/N: Hello from Cape Cod everyone! It’s our senior week and I have kind of neglected doing much of anything, but I figured I’d put out the next part of Hard Day’s! For everyone who is graduating/finishing up the year - CONGRATS!!!

It was a typical crowd, and the girls milled about easily. At least, they started to. The usual crowd was assembling; everyone had their floor personality on. Belle felt a little more protective of Ruby, far more than she had before, but otherwise, it as all the same. Everything was the same, and that comfort was enough to keep her going despite her sore feet and awkwardly angled bunny ears.

She thought she was doing well, anyway, and having a good night until Belle saw, in her section, as always, was Mr. Gold. He was sitting with older men tonight, none of the younger from the previous day and Belle felt… relieved, but also like a rock had dropped in the pit of her stomach.

So, Dr. Whale…

I saw you sitting there, looking all conflicted and contemplative and confused about whatever it is you just remembered.

WOULD YOU LIKE TO SHARE WITH THE REST OF THE CLASS?!

WHAT IS YOUR STORY YOU SONOVABITCH?!

If he is Monstro I imagine he would be pretty confused.

It is a bit of a jump from being a enormous bad tempered whale to a doctor in a small town.

His story is that he’s my husband and we’re running off to live in Storybrooke together. Yup. No problems there with that logic at all. None.

 • A/N: In honor of the new episode tonight, I’m putting up the second part of “Hard Day’s” Yay! I’m really pumped at the reception Part 1 got, so here’s Part 2!

After the run-in with Marco, everything else about the evening seemed to be exactly the same as usual. She ran drinks, a couple of different kinds, and flirted her way into a hefty pile of tips, at least from most of her tables. Mr. Gold’s table, apparently, wasn’t keen on her service that night. Belle took note, and hoped beyond reason that the key holders there wouldn’t complain about her. She couldn’t afford to be complained about.

When she was changing backstage, Ruby swooped in – perfect timing, as always, and gasped, “What are you doing?” she gasped, rushing forward on her tiptoes, squeaking, “no, no, tug that suit back on. I just borrowed this,” she held up the polaroid, “and we are taking your pictures.”

 • Pairings: Rumbelle (primary), Red Cricket/Red Wood, Sean x Ashley, MM x David
 • A/N: “A New Education” has been giving me serious hang-ups, so I went with something that inspired me a little bit more. It apparently worked because I’m at 16,000 words and it just keeps going! Enjoy!

‘Backstage’ at the club was nothing glamorous. It was a room with a bunch of mirrors, lined up against the walls with a counter in front of them and some chairs for all the girls to sit and pretty themselves up. Belle had been working at the club for two months now, two long months.

She perfected the wings of her eyeliner, and the perfect shaping on her lips with the bright red lipstick they made them wear. Her tail was fluffy, her bunny suit pristine, it was all part of doing what she had to do. Tonight, as she ran the waxy stick over her lips, she let out a deep breath, finding it hard to believe that she was really sitting backstage at one of the most exclusive clubs in Chicago and didn’t even feel excited about it.

The Bartonville Insane Asylum, also known as the Peoria State Hospital or the Illinois Asylum for the Incurable Insane has been abandoned since 1973. Even before it was abandoned, stories about hauntings were commonplace. One famous story is that the ghost of a former employee known only as Bookbinder, or Old Book, still lives on the grounds of the quickly deteriorating hospital. Scattered amongst the grounds of asylum are several cemeteries that were used to bury patient who passed away during their time stay at the hospital.
Bookbinder was employed as one of the several burial corp members and, whether he knew them or not, would mourn for each patient after burying them. It’s said he would stand under an old elm tree near one of the cemeteries and weep loudly after each burial. Eventually, Old Book passed away and was also buried in one of these cemeteries. According to legend, Old Book’s spirit now inhabits that tree.

Uhm, I live here. ARE YOU STALKING ME, TUMBLR FRIEND?!

Old Book? My spirit doesn’t live here! D:
